🔗 Before generating the RFQ LINK ID, it's best to consider your anticipated tracking approach:
Single ID (Basket) Approach:
Generate one RFQ LINK ID to be used for the entire RFQ and all its Items collectively as a basket.
Unique Suffix Approach:
Generate one RFQ LINK ID for the top-level RFQ, then manually assign a suffix thereafter for each item required on the RFQ.
(Example: manually add "-001" to the end of the ID, etc...)
ID Generator Guidance: Use the same ID Generator for either the Basket or Suffix approach. If you're using suffixes, you can manually add them after generating the base ID. You’re free to switch tracking methods later—your base ID stays valid.
Folder Naming Tip (for Level 2 Implementation only):
No matter which tracking method you plan to use, if you're renaming folders (as shown in Level 2 Implementation) make sure the folder names match the ID format approach you’ve chosen.
